Beware of the Blind Home Inspector!
Most homes sold today in Texas are inspected; unfortunately 80% of Houston home inspectors appear to be blind when it comes to knowing what to look for during a Houston home inspection. The reason for this is by taking a few classes; passing the inspection exam ANYONE can obtain a license? There is no requirement that a person has ever even been inside a house. | | I am very pleased with Jim's work. He found several key issues that could have become big problems in the future. In addition, his attention to detail helped detect some small issues that definitely would have been headaches after the close. Jim could not use the stairs to go to the 2nd floor because they were recently varnished. He saved me the expense of a return trip by climbing through a crawl space in the garage attic into the main house. He went above and beyond to complete the inspection in one trip.

Wow, I can’t believe the long list of repair items you found during the inspection of our new home. Now I understand why the builder wasn’t real happy when we told him we wanted our own inspector. It turns out he has a lot of extra work to do before we go to our closing.
